How much it costs to travel in Kyiv matters to everyone, from daily commuters to visitors. We have collected what is known from Ukrainian media reports and from materials about the KMDA’s draft of new fares.
A single trip
According to media reports, a single trip on the capital’s municipal transport costs 30 hryvnias. As of early October, no further increase from 1 October was planned.
Discounts for regular passengers
According to the draft published by the KMDA, the price of one trip falls if trips are bought in a bundle:
- 1 to 9 trips: 30 UAH per trip;
- a bundle of 50 trips: about 25 UAH per trip;
- monthly passes: roughly 23.3–23.6 UAH per trip.
The 90-minute ticket
The draft mentioned a 60-hryvnia ticket that allows unlimited transfers between different kinds of municipal transport within an hour and a half. It pays off if you travel with transfers rather than on a single line.
Minibuses
According to the draft, a fare on most Kyiv minibuses was to be 25 hryvnias, and 20 hryvnias on some short routes.
What to keep in mind
Some of the figures come from articles about the draft fares published in spring, and they may have changed since. Before travelling, check current prices and discount terms on the Kyiv portal or in the Kyiv Digital app, especially if you are buying a pass in advance.
